Initial instructions
After you explore the site yourself, you can start emailing the web address to members of
your group. It will be http://stillconnected.com/xxxx where xxxx is your group's
abbreviated name to make the address simple.
* Member Info page * or * Classmate Info page *
Members will enter and edit their own "profile" info by filling out the
form. Profile includes name, email, location, business, notes, interests and date of entry.
Each person can also include a link to their personal or business site or even a site
that they post photos at...and each person can upload an individual photo as part of their
profile.
There are two steps to adding photos, uploading and entering filename on
the "edit information" form. The filename is simply the name of the image, such as
joe.jpg or p1234.jpg. This is the case for both "Member" photos and "News" photos that
you may add.
* Administrator *
You (or someone else) would be the administrator. Please verify Administrator's email address
so "Add News" links will send to it. To "log in", you will enter your
username and password. The first time you visit the site, there will be some sample
info that you can edit or delete or add to for practice. The administrator may
add news, edit and delete member information and access the current database
of email addresses.
* News page *
The administrator may add to or update "class news" anytime, including one photo per item.
If you have more than one photo for an event, just add it as another item. You can
add/delete/edit items. Each item includes a headline, body of text, footer notes and
the photo.
* Email list *
The administrator may edit individual profiles as necessary and can also retrieve the current
list of email addresses in the database (so be sure to remind members to keep their
information updated) in order to send group emails. The list is available in both
comma(,) separated and semi-colon(;) separated formats
* Links to photo album *
Send a link (to be included on Home page and News page) to the online photo album site of your choice, such
as Snapfish.com.
* Optional Photo pages (additional fee) *
Check for current cost per page of up to 20 photos per page (group shots are best)
to be included in one or more photos pages on the site. All images on the site
should have a file size of under 100k. Call/email to discuss how advertising can easily offset that cost.
Mailing addresses and/or phone numbers?
Unless requested, address/phone numbers are not listed, since the site isn't
password-protected. We can do this if you'd like, but prefer not password protect
except for individuals to enter info. Most sites
don't password protect, even though they list
email addresses as we do here. Some classmates prefer not to enter info just
to visit the site. If you decide to include address/phone, we recommend password
protect everything except the home page.

Just email what you'd like that banner to say and we'll change it.
Email your home page content in the body of a message, showing titles for each paragraph.
This should be something that rarely changes, such as a description and history of
the group.
Email 2-4 photos for the home page along with any group or school logo. Indicate which is the
main photo. Also email up to 10 links, including the site names and URL's.
